Lee just checked Toastmasters International's official records, and DSTM has been recognized as a President's Distinguished club for the third year in a row! We also closed Toastmasters' 2011 year with more members than we had at the close of 2010.

We have 2 new recent members! Dallas Singles Toastmasters would like to welcome Martin and Austin to our club.

Last week, DSTM sent a group of our members to Big D Toastmasters -- enough to capture their banner and bring it back to our club! Now it's their turn. We anticipate being raided at any time by members from Big D to retrieve their banner -- 5 of their members to get their banner back, and if they raid us with 10 people, they will also steal our banner!
This is the first successful "banner raid" by DSTM in about 2 years. Let's see how long we can keep it!
Four of our officers were trained at the first full Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) sessions on January 15th at the University of Texas at Dallas. Our remaining three officers plan to attend this week's TLI Lite.
Our goal is "All Officers Trained" and we are well on our way! Thanks to all the officers for completing this important milestone!
